FDNY Sends Bill To "Unknown Asian"

Although the billing company should have caught this, because this obviously can apply to a large number of people, I don't see how it's racial. The person was unknown, and Asian. I fail to see what the big deal is.

It's amazing how the news media sensationalized this. Including the wording "demanding payment". Uh, it's a bill. Like everyone else gets. If this person didn't get themselves intoxicated enough to need an ambulance, this wouldn't be an issue. Maybe the school should also put some of the blame on themselves. There was no one around that even knew this girls name?

The FDNY billing department could use some sensitivity training.

Officials at The New School were stunned to receive a missive addressed to “UNKNOWN ASIAN” demanding a $784.20 payment for an ambulance run in the early morning hours after Halloween.

Leave to the media to make it a race issue and hype things up as usual.

If the bill was addressed to a Irish guy in Woodlawn would there be a stink ? Probably not, or the Italian in Morris Park ? Nope.

Or billed to " Bobby Irish" in Throgs Neck ? Well at least everyone knows Bobby Irish in Throgs Neck.
