County tells former FDNY fireboat Firefighter it’s time to leave

When the fireboat Fire Fighter docked in Greenport this past February it was hoped that it could become a permanent fixture in the maritime community — a floating museum where youngsters could learn about the vessel’s rich history battling fires in New York City.

Its a sad situation to be sure, That folks in Greenport can't see ANY potential...I wasn't aware that the Firefighter had been purchased in this manner, Knowing The Harvey has sailed into New London, Mystic and a few Suffolk ports itself obviously makes Keeping both of them, Harder since Both groups are required to raise funds JUST to Maintain rusting....It'd be awesome to Be able to Maintain BOTH of these historical Vessels
