Photos taken from a 2nd Alarm, all companies, fire in Schenectady at 22 Mynderse St. on 10/09/2013. 2nd Alarm called upon arrival, building was confirmed evacuated, and all companies responded. Fire was not put under control with in the 1st hour, unknown after that. All photos by me.

Interesting, it looks like the house was possible cleaned out, judging by all the trash bags at the curb and the mattresses and other items stacked at the side. Was someone upset about being evicted?

Firematically, try to remember not to charge the supply line from the hydrant until it's connected to the pump intake.

This was considered an arson and an arrest was made. The suspect was upset his friend got evicted due to unsanitary living conditions.

I saw the supply line issue too.. I have seen that happen first hand with our 84 Mack... At a working industrial fire, we had the 5 inch line get charged at the hydrant, I stepped off the beaver tail and watched 5 inch hose filling with water coming towards the engine.... then looked back at the engine and saw members sitting on the alum. hose bed covers.... by the time I could yell "look out" they were being tossed about....... bottom line, hydrant men need to make sure they are getting orders from their rig...

batallion chief. but dept chief was on scene and suffered a minor burn on his hand. If i can find the article in the paper ill copy it
