Remember Engine 121

1951 Ward LaFrance. Now back home in Montrose, NY.

Served the Montrose Fire Department in Montrose, NY. Retired from the department where it was sold and eventually found its way to a gentleman in Chestnut Ridge, NY, about 45 minutes from Montrose. Originally bought to be restored, the engine found itself back on the sales list, where it was found by a Montrose FD member. After a few weeks, 121 was bought b a member that had a lot of family history with it, as his father and brother were both drivers of it when it was still in the department. 121 boarded up on a tow truck and made its way back to its home in Montrose at the member's house, where it is now beginning its restoration

Starting to do some work on it. Got it running a few weeks ago and it sounded great. I hope to be doing more with it soon- thanks
