Tornado Preparedness

With the recent tornado in Oklahoma, many people around here think it can't happen to them. We've seen tornadoes hit our area over the past few years, with tornadoes in Hawthorne, Brooklyn, Queens, etc. A tornadoe actually hit downtown Atlanta, affecting multi story building.

Does any department have a program to educate citizens about tornadoe prepardness, and what to do in case of one? And does any department have a severe weather response plan?

The weather is gettiing crazier, and we are going to start responding to these events more and more. I just see no training courses about this either.

If you do have a public relations campaign, or department prepardness specific to severe weather, I'd love to hear about it on this thread..
