Grasslands Rd @ SBP (IAO WMC) Overpass Westbound Lanes Closed Until Late August

1 post in this topic

Special attention to anyone who is going to Westchester Medical Center, WCDES (Fire Training Center), Westchester Community College, Westchester County Jail, Police Academy, and in the area.....

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has announced they will be performing work on the Route 100C (Grasslands Road) bridge over the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Mount Pleasant at the border with the Town of Greenburgh. This project has an accelerated construction schedule to allow the work to be completed during the summer months.

All eastbound travel lanes over the bridge will be closed to traffic beginning May 31 through August 30, 2013. During this time, Route 100C westbound traffic will be maintained as usual. To accommodate the eastbound closure, the traffic will be detoured onto Route 9A (Saw Mill River Road) Brighton Ave. and Route 100 (Bradhurst Ave.). All construction is expected to be completed by August 30, 2013.

Traffic delays are anticipated and the DOT will work hard to disseminate information to those potentially affected through temporary roadway message boards, email, direct mail and promotional constituents of this planned event. Residents in this area should plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes whenever possible.

Thank you in advance for your patience for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Mr. Scott Geiger, P.E., Project Manager, at (845) 235-6130.

Joseph J. DeCarlo
