ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Larry K. Batchie, a lifelong resident of Elmsford, died May 20. He was 42.

Batchie was born Feb. 3, 1971, in Landstuhl, Germany. He graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Alexander Hamilton High School and was employed in the automobile business. He was an ex-captain and a life member of the Elmsford Fire Company #1 and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 135.

Batchie is survived by his mother, Kathleen Gallagher; sister, Kerry; and brother, Mark of Elmsford. He was prdeceased by his father, Pop.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, May 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, New York 10532, 914-769-4404. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh.

Donations may be made to the Elmsford Fire Company #1 or the National Institutes of Health, ALPs Research Division.
