Radiological Emergencies

Course Description:

Please join James Seymour, Radiological Training Coordinator from Entergy in familiarizing EMS agencies with the Westchester County Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP) for the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant and the role of EMS personnel in response to a radiological emergency at the facility.

* Emergency Planning Overview for Emergency Workers

* Radiation Exposure Control

* Responding to a Radiological Contaminated/Exposed Patient

This course may be applied toward Operations, Core Elective and General Elective CME hours under the NY State DOH EMS Continuing Education Recertification Program. Please note that per the NYSDOH, the 3hr WMD requirement has been removed.
