Sad to announce to death of the New Rochelle Fire Department Retired Member Captian Jack LaBella who was fighting cancer passed away over the weekend. Rest In Peace Brother Captain Jack. Will be missed by everyone. Gone but not forgotten.

Wow, this one hits close to home. Jack was the uncle of my good friend Robert, who I've known since high school. I met Jack this year when his brother, Robert Sr., was in the hospital. RIP, uncle Jack.
