YONKERS — An elderly woman who was apparently confined to her bed because of a medical condition was rescued by two female relatives after a fire broke out early this morning in a room where she was staying at a Hillbright Terrace home, fire officials said.

The woman, who is approximately 73-years-old, and her relatives, approximately 53 and 28, were taken by ambulance to St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers to be treated for smoke inhalation.
