Croton Fire Dept. Open House Photos

After I went to the Somers FD Open House, I took a ride down to Croton to check theirs out. In this batch we have Tower Ladder 44 with the flag flying off of it from a distance, a wide shot of the Harmon House.

In this batch we have a giant inflatable fire truck slide for kids to go down, Tanker 10, Engine 119 and Engine 120 each of which are lined up to give kids free rides in the trucks. They would go up the block and then back down with lights and sirens. They also had 5 stations in which kids learned different fire safety techniques (i.e. stop drop and roll)

In this batch we have Rescue 18 along with a look inside of some of the compartments as well as a demonstration. There is also a Hose Cart from 1908 and turnout gear that was worn from 1940-1950.

Here we have a pair of gamewell alarms, a live burn using a fire extinguisher (this was part of the demonstration), a trailer full of memorabilia, car 2081 and Engine 119 loading up for another ride.

Here we have 55 B2, the recruitment table inside the fire house, some helmets, 55 B1 from the side and rear, and Tower Ladder 44 from the rear

Here we have the flag being flown from TL-44, Engine 120 turning up the block during 1 of its rides, a wide angle of the road with 120 leaving and 119 arriving, Engine 118 from the front and side, and Car 2082 from the side and front.

What is that Ford pickup used for now? Didnt 2081's expedition replace that from the chiefs vehicle? Is it a utility? I never see it around down there..

It's 2083 from what I saw on the plate. 2081 and 2082 are both Expeditions.

Do you have any pictures from Golden Bridge's Open House?

Never made it. I was shooting 2 lacrosse games that day and the 2nd didn't end till just before 4.

The newest Expedition is 2081. The pickup is 2082 and the older Expedition is 2083.

2081 has the red stripe and LED bar w/ colored lenses.

2083 wasn't at the open house, but has a white stripe with clear LED bar.
