Somers Fire Dept. Open House Photos 10/14/2012

Last weekend I took my 4 year old nephew up to check out the Somers Open House and take photos. In this spot we have a spot where people were able to get the feel of what holding a hose is like and practiced shooting water at a target. The little kid is my nephew, who thought that was so cool! The live burn was just the icing on the cake for him.

We also have the former Utility 34 and Utility 89 along with one of the helmets from the first assistant chief.

Here we have Rescue 38 (Scuba/Dive Team), the Westchester Medical Center Stat Flight medevac as it prepares for take off, and Engine 183

In this group we have 45 Medic/Westchester EMS, Utility 5 and the container in which they did a live burn demonstration in. It was your basic contents of a room and how the fire reacts, etc.

Sorry if the photos with actual fire in them look like crap, first time shooting live fire. Probably should have under-exposed more than I did.

45M2 is Stationed out of Lincolndale Firehouse. 45M1-2-3 have different vehicles throughout the week, like that decked out one ive seen stationed in Pound Ridge and in Katonah, they're not labeled 45M2 because it could be 45M1 tomorrow.. If that makes any sense.

Gotcha, I changed it to just 45 medic/Westchester EMS. Thanks for the heads up, I always thought they had designated vehicles for each.
