New Marine Company goes in service.

FDNY has now placed Marine unit #8 in service.

Marine 8 is part of the Summer boat program, which uses the smaller boats for rapid response during the boating season.

Units will be in service from 0700-2100 hrs.

Marine 3 based at Gateway Marina will cover south shore of Queens and Brooklyn. (Queens Fire Freq)

Marine 4 based at Fort Totten will cover north shore of Queens and South shore of the Bronx. (Bronx Fire Freq)

Marine 8 based at Great Kills Harbor will cover Staten Island (Staten Island Freq)
