Orangetown cops charge 16-year-old with arson in string of fires

Orangetown police have arrested a 16-year-old Nyack youth in connection with a string of car fires that broke out early Tuesday morning, damaging four cars and several buildings in a two-block area of Summit Street and Depew Avenue.

None of the fires, which were set within minutes of each other, resulted in injuries. Officials estimate the damages to exceed $100,000.
