So NYPD ESU. is using E-Ones now?

Quick question, how many ESU. trucks does the NYPD operate?

I think 11 or 12. 2 in Manhattan, 2 in the Bronx, 1 in SI, 3 in BK, 2 in Q. There's a Truck Eleven which I have seen, but not sure what it's for. As far as the little trucks, ya got me.

I think its 40 on the small trucks. And i have heard truck 11 is a supervisor truck and cab assist where needed.

It's supposed to be 2 small trucks and the heavy rescue per squad, with two detectives on each of the three rigs plus a seargent on the heavy rescue. there's 10 regular patrol squads, so that would make it 30 trucks per shift, plus squad 11, which runs out of the ESU academy/headquarters as a backup unit, and is staffed by the training personnell and administrators. They've probably added on more smaller trucks to run special details, such as counterterrorism.

Wow! Lots of scene lights!

That rig could light up the Yankee Stadium with that package!

All in all, Very nice rig!

Might be a stupid question, but after looking at the scene lights I am curious- Do the scene lights have to be positioned by hand or is there a remote to move them? I assume they are adjustable.

I saw this at E-One's plant in January before the cab and body were on. That is a HEAVY DUTY chassis!! It has a 500 Cummins and E-Ones IFS on it. I have some pictures of it I will try and post.

That rig has a really small wheelbase for a truck like that, am I correct? I'm an Aussie so I don't see much of these.

It's about average for what ESU uses. I don't remember them having trucks with a wheelbase longer than that. the FDNY Rescue Companies had E-Ones with a longer chassis.
