Started off as a tanker shuttle with the water source on Mt Ebo Road. Tankers from Brewster (x2), Patterson, Putnam Lake, Carmel, Lake Carmel, Croton Falls, and Mill Plain, CT. Latter, Brewster was able to lay a 5 inch line from the ponds on Mt Ebo to the scene with their hose reel 11-8-1, with the tankers still in use. The five inch line Supplied by South Salem Engine 168 pumped to Patterson 22-4-2, which in turn pumped to Brewster 11-2-3 and 11-5-1.

The Tanker shuttle was continued to feed Carmel 12-5-1 with Putnam Lake 23-2-5 as the source engine at the scene. Tankers were being filled by a Ball Pond Engine. The source that Ball Pond was drafting out of looked like it had been lower at least 2 feet, if not more. Croton Falls Engine laid 5 inch to rear of building from Putnam Lake 23-2-5 and supplied Carmel 12-5-1

Lake Carmel 17-6-1 brought their FAST team. Mahopac and later Somers Engine 180 brought manpower to scene. Patterson 22-5-1 brought to scene and later returned as unneeded. Numerous fire police vehicles as both the Putnam and Dutchess Fire Police teams were activated. Sate Police were also a huge help with traffic, especially early on during the tanker shuttle Route 22 was still open. Not sure who else I saw there, it was a very busy day. Heritage Fuel also came at one point to supply diesel fuel to engines and tankers.

and his last photo at 0904 Carmel's 12-5-1 is set up, fire visible thru the metal sheeted walls in the rear of the building.

post-917-0-84730500-1339807292.jpg

While I did not make it in to the building (too busy driving and later pumping) I heard the metal walls and roof held the heat in. I saw three cars and at least two motorcycles that had been stored in the building in addition to all the other normal junk packed into these things. There was also a boat on trailer, that was possibly in a storage unit and later pulled out.

I know the guys in Dover never thought about covering a call on I84 until today. I know I was working and when I heard the engine out if our sta 2 get called to standby in Paterson I thought I was hearing things.
