Tribal police seek bigger role at Foxwoods

LEDYARD, Conn. -- A Connecticut tribe is moving to give its own police department a larger role inside its Foxwoods Resort Casino, but several former department employees say it can barely manage to patrol the tiny reservation, let alone the Western Hemisphere's largest casino.

As Mahantucket is my place of employment, there have been some changes. The police chief / public safety director has resigned and both the fire department and police departments are now considered separate entities once again. Both top officers of the PD and FD will each report directly to the Tribal Council's Public Safety Committee.

Tribal PD/FD are separate from Foxwoods FD/PD? Or am I confusing you guys with Mohegan?
