Initial Summary:    Assistant Fire Chief Childress was working a 2000hrs â013 0800hrs shift 05/06/2005 â013 05/07/2005.  At 2200hrs, he responded to an Emergency Medical Services call.  

At 0800hrs on 05/07/2005, he remained on station working an overtime shift to cover for incoming shift members that were attending training.  

A short time into his shift, Childress complained of not feeling well and went to lie down in the bunk room.  He was discovered later as having died in his sleep.
