Shoutbox Has Been Moved

9 posts in this topic

For the time being, the Shoutbox has be moved to the bottom of the index page.

IA's from Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess will once again show up in the recent topics list.

I'm experimenting to see if this reduces the "clutter" at the top of the main forum index page.

I really, really enjoyed having the Shoutbox at the top of the page. That way I could periodically refresh the page and see if there are any incidents of interest that I would want to turn the scanner on for.

Does anyone else support moving the Shoutbox back to the top?

I agree. I feel like the shoutbox being at the bottom of the page takes away from its usefulness. I don't know how you would clear up the clutter at the top though with out moving the ads...

100% agree with those above comments. Not a fan of it at the botton.

Moving it to draw traffic to other areas makes sense. To reduce clutter, why? I'd sandwich shoutbox and the new content areas in ads. Its far from confusing as you've done a good job keeping things linear.

Agree with all the posts above, it feels like you have to search for it now. I just like to type in www.emtbravo.com then shout a incident. Not go to certain pages and scroll down past all the "clutter" just to find that..
