If You're Going To Write An Incident Alert, Please.....

1 post in this topic

Members,

If you're going to write an Incident Alert, especially one regarding a serious or major Incident, write it right.

This includes:

-CONFIRMED Incident's Only!

-Having firsthand knowledge of the incident (not guesses, assumptions, or information gained off another website)

-Gain the firsthand knowledge from your involvement, those on scene, transmissions heard over dispatch and operations channels, PM's from another member, etc

-Use proper spelling and grammar

-Go by the IA Template with NO modification

Hundreds, sometimes thousands, may read your Incident Alert. We depend on you, the writer, to write the best possible IA. Please take the time to browse incident's posted by other experienced IA Writers to see what a proper IA should look like.

We appreciate all those who take the time to write quality and factual Incident Alerts and abide by the policies and procedures of the Incident Alert forum.

Thanks
