Having The Water Company Boost Pressure During A Fire

I was thinking about, when I was in Ardsley (1993ish), there was a single SOP for all structure fires.

One of them was notifying the water company to boost pressure,

Is this still in anyone's SOP's?

I guess it would all depend on the area. Some parts in the Town of Cortlandt are gravity fed. highest pressure at its lowest point is 230psi. takes about 3 people to open that hyrdant. The Town of Cortlandt usually has good pressure in some parts.
