Captain John (Jack) Colbert of the Birchwood Fire Department died in the Line of Duty from an apparent heart attack on Friday, April 6th, 2012. Captain Colbert responded to the Birchwood firehouse for a drowning rescue call. Captain Colbert was at the station until he felt ill, he went home, and he passed away at home.
