Ulster, Dutchess County officials issue burn ban reminder

Officials in Ulster and Dutchess counties are asking residents to not let a little rain over the weekend divert them from abiding by state’s outdoor burn ban for brush and tree limbs.

The caution comes as the peak fire season has emergency crews staying ready but hoping that they won’t be needed.

It's all of Southeast New York, Southwest Connecticut, and Northeast New Jersey. The ban is in effect until 7 pm tomorrow (Wednesday)
