Description Of Incident:recreational boater in distress

state police received a 911 call informing them of a boater in distress drifting out on long island sound state forwarded call to 60 control and village mamaroneck police. village mamaroneck police advised state police they don't have a marine unite available for launch for search of the boater. 60 control then advised village mamaroneck engine 41 to go ahead and launch their fire rescue boat. at first reports were coming in that boater was drifting out to Rockey and wooded island on the sound. boater was in contact with us coast guard and state police and 60 control. rescue boat did not have boater in sight boater then drifted into in concealed in lit fire rescue has boater insight boater is being helped inland from person with a rope to help him a shore. village advised boater is on land search called off village police en route to known address were boater was helped to make land.

new info available / I know Engine 38 was toned out for that too. The caller had been reported as being in a row boat, the only person in the boat and behind mam'k yacht club near the island.
