Benefit for a brother and a gentleman

1 post in this topic

I normally don't post these things on here, however this gentleman is a close personal friend of mine who is in need. Keith is the MTO of the Fire department at the Goodyear/Dunlop plant he works for. I only post this because he is an outstanding fire instructor, a all around nice guy and he is getting shafted by blue cross/blue shield in regard to getting approval to get the operation he needs to remove the tumor. Without the operation, his survival chances are very low due to the progression of his illness. Thank you for any support you may wish to give.

A benefit will be held for Keith Goudy on Saturday, April 30, 2005. Goudy, who lives in the town of Tonawanda with his wife and two daughters, suffers from Cushing's Disease.

Keith has a tumor on his pituitary gland which is causing the adrenal glands to produce to much cortisol. Some of the symptoms caused by Cushing's Disease are: a big, round, moon face, diabetes, high blood pressure and organ failure.

Keith will be going to the Mayo Clinic in May in hopes that doctors there can remove the tumor. Keith has been out of work from Dunlop since January and may never be able to go back.

To help Keith and his family with medical bills, friends and family have organized a benefit.

It will be held Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kenilworth Volunteer Fire Company, 84 Hawthorne Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda. Tickets are $20. There will be food, beer and a chinese auction.

If you would like to make a donation, you can send it to:
