Orangetown to name street in honor of FF DeFlumere

The Town Board is set to name a street after Albert "Foxie" DeFlumere, a volunteer Blauvelt firefighter who died while trying to save his young son in a fire in the family's home more than 15 years ago.As part of the vote, set for Thursday , a portion of the private road at 622 Route 303 would be known as "Al Foxie Way." Previously unnamed, the street runs in front of a future FedEx office and warehouse.
