Greenwich - MVA w/ Entrapment - 2/8/12

Time: 2348hrs

Location: IAO King Street and Anderson Hill Road

Frequency: 155.625 (RBPD), Greenwich FD & EMS Trunked

Units Operating: Greenwich Fire, Greenwich EMS, Port Chester-Rye–Rye Brook EMS, Greenwich PD, Rye Brook PD, Connecticut Light and Power

Weather Conditions: Partly Cloudy, cold

Description of Incident: Passerby called Port Chester 911 to report “bad” accident on King Street. Port Chester PD contacted Rye Brook PD to send units. Rye Brook PD found a serious 2 car MVA in the area of King St and Anderson Hill Road, in Greenwich. Officer on scene reported 1 person pinned in vehicle with live power lines on top, he was conscious. Crews from GFD Engine 4 were able to extricate the patient who was transported ALS to Greenwich Hospital by GEMS. Fire-Police assisted with the street closure. Scene was turned over to GPD for investigation.
