2011 Run Totals

Somehow when I read this every years I still get a chuckle that my station does more runs fire and ems then some departments do..in fact I personally do more runs in a year then some of them listed here.

Yorktown Heights FD (Westchester County, NY) 779 Runs (No EMS)- Most runs in department history.

Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department Co. 1 (Prince Georges County, MD) 5,719 Runs for the Engine, Truck, Rescue Squad, and BLS Ambulance.

According to their website, Eastchester VAC ran 2334 calls with 2397 patients treated/transported.

I feel kind of silly after seeing the totals of many of the career depts, but here ya go...

659 alarms in 2011 - NO EMS

According to Department websites..

Purchase FD: 501

Bedford Hills FD: 471

Pound Ridge FD: 398

Millwood FD: 399

Sleepy Hollow FD: 316

Pound Ridge VAC: 217

Millwood is 340. Busiest in 87 years.

Bedford Village FD - 458 Fire + 262 EMS = 720 calls

East Fishkill FD - 2316 calls (FD+EMS)

Mt. Kisco VAC - 1276 calls

Armonk FD - 609 Fire + 472 EMS = 1081 calls

Continental Village FD - 170 calls (No EMS)

Katonah FD - 376 calls (No EMS)

Vista FD - 353 calls (FD+EMS)

Somers FD - 2378 calls (FD+EMS)

Yonkers is usually very high. My guess for them is somewhere in the high 30,000 range. According to stats in past years, maybe 38-39,000.

Assumingly, from last years stats, I'd place New Rochelle from the high 7,000's to 8,000 range, and Mt. Vernon in the high 8,000's, perhaps closer to 9,000. I believe all three departments run first responder medical.

West Hamilton FD (Queens) - 280 FD + 388 EMS = 668 total

Elmsford FD - 561 FD + 485 EMS = 1046 total

New Canaan FD (CT) - 1131 calls (No EMS)

Ridgefield FD (CT) - 444 calls (FD+EMS)
