sea land fire north main and adee . bitter cold fire started in basement. john gibb was working engine 58 who will have all the info. bob thalheimer was chief early 80`s

John did respond to the fire with Engine 58, but he didn't drive it back to the station !!!!

Ladder 31 had already been set up and in operation, fearing a collapse they decided to bring it down quickly and move it out of the way (top photo).

Ang is this the same fire that Ladder 26 was just as frozen as Engine 58 and they drove it back to the firehouse partially raised to thaw out?

the gmc was eng 58 and when it got tired it went up the hill and became eng 59 and covered the slower half of the village,and a grumman firecat replaced it as 58,which was just recently replaced by the pierce puc thats now in service.
