Initial Summary:    Firefighter Renee' Clark, age 49, was participating in pump operations training and a fund-raiser at the Pleasant Ridge VFD station on Saturday, April 16, 2005 when she collapsed from an apparent heart attack. 

Fellow volunteer firefighters and first responders utilized the department's AED and CPR to rescucitate Firefighter Clark prior to the arrival of EmServ Ambulance Service paramedics. 

Firefighter Clark was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday, April 18, 2005. 

Firefighter Clark is the wife of Pleasant Ridge VFD Chief Billy Clark and has been an active department member for several years.
