08-23-11 - US East Coast - Earthquake

It was actually located between Richmond and Charlottesville Va not NC. I live in Northern Va and definitely felt it and it was pretty significant here.

We live about 40 miles from the epicenter. Def felt it here. Had one small building collapse downtown. Some guys from the department have returned home to find their homes in shambles unfortunately. Thankfully nothing major has been affected.

felt in albany (NY) made the shelves at the autoparts store i work at shake a little but no damage. Mother didnt feel it in Troy and Wife didnt feel it in Schenectady. But their co workers said they did and that there was also no damage.

Felt nothing in New London CT at the USCGA. Mom was evacuated from the Pilot Pen tennis tourny in New Haven though.

Damage in Fishkill and that part of Dutchess County. Fire and Structural Damage still on going.

Could you PM me where the damages are please? I am a State Fire Inspector and I cover that county, just want to know if its any of my places, thanks!
