They are covers for the goggles that come installed on most Cairns model helmets. Since the lens have a propensity to get scratched during normal everyday activities where they are not needed, many people elect to purchase a goggle lens cover from a manufacturer like ESS to preserve the life span and clarity of the goggles. When you need the goggles you just slip the cover to the side, flip the goggles over your helmet and tighten to your face and go to work.
