YORKTOWN-Mike Mirsky, 66, of Yorktown and his son Andrew, 33, of Brooklyn contact a ham in Ohio during the Ham Radio Field Day at Hilltop Hanover Farm, June 25, 2011 in Yorktown. The father and son came out to practice their emergency communications skills, educate the community about amateur radio and support the county-owned farm in developing sustainable energy sources. Hams set up stations internationally and are contacting as many other ham stations as possible in 24 hours.
