A Peekskill firefighters union has filed an improper labor practice charge against the city, alleging one of its members was threatened by the city manager.

It would appear that Mr. Finn enjoys flexing his muscles when it comes to dealing with the fire fighters union. So much for a working "partnership" between union and management while he is in the picture; I hope that PERB puts the city of Peekskill on notice that they are not above the law when it comes to labor-management issues.

If Mr.Finn is u pset about this--and its plain ans simple--they have every right to ask questions to the elected officials. What will he do when they battle him with contract requests?? lets hope Peekskill Local keeps us informed.

As of recent according to the EEOC "Retaliation" charges in the work force are the most common charges that the EEOC investigates and they appear to be very common in the work force. Politicians and persons in positions of authority (Fire Chiefs)are not exempt and many times too include in the Fire Service political immunity may not apply to them.

What's an even bigger joke is some of the comments to the article that the journal news ran by those who try to represent themselves as knowing what they're talking about...but in the end know absolutely nothing. Then again looking at the spelling and the grammar in the comments its no wonder.
