Description: (1) worker pinned in trench collapse, 8 feet below grade at construction site of a large P/D.

1221hrs- NRFD dispatched for trench collapse. Req. E-21 to respond with Collapse Unit.

1226hrs- Confirmed worker in trench, was buried up to his head. Construction crew began to remove dirt/rocks with a backhoe.

1234hrs- Car 2301 rpts worker is 8 feet below grade and buried from just below his waist down by dirt and rocks. EMS has weak vitals on victim. M/A Yonkers for collapse response.

1250hrs- Co's continue to shore trench. Victim still with weak vitals.

1300hrs- YFD on scene. Collapse Unit bringing in additional shoring material.

1305hrs- Victim has reportedly lost vitals. Co's preparing worker for removal from trench.

1312hrs- (1) worker removed DOA. Holding victim at scene ATT. Crime scene unit and detectives enroute.
