Town of Poughkeepsie police are looking for a missing 50-year-old woman from the Spackenkill area who was last seen Saturday evening.

Thea Lapointe was reported missing by her husband Sunday around 5:15 p.m. Her husband told police she was last seen at home Saturday around 5:30 pm., town police said.

"The ongoing investigation has revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Thea Lapointe," town police said in a written release.

"Her name has been entered into a national database for missing persons," the department said.

Lapointe is described as white, about 5 feet 2 inches tall with blonde, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. She was wearing an orange sweatshirt and blue pants, police said.

She was driving a red 2003 Ford Explorer SUV with the license plate: CSK6803.

Very sad case. Hopefully the toxicology results and more information comes forth, seeing as the autopsy was inconclusive.

The report states she was found in the cargo area of the vehicle, seems a bit strange?

Autopsy inconclusive on missing woman found dead in Connecticut

Results were inconclusive, finding no immediately apparent cause of death, a spokeswoman for that office said. Further tests are planned.

Connecticut state police said their preliminary investigation found "no criminal aspect to her death."
