Brooklyn - Fatal 4th Alarm Fire 5-13-2011

Weather Conditions: Dark, dry

Description Of Incident: Working fire in a 3-story 20x40 frame building. Fire originated on the #3 floor from hot plate.. When units arrived they had heavy fire on the #2 & 3 floors. Extension to exposure 4 & 4A. Two 10-45 code 1's (Black Tag - deceased), One victim (44 y/o male) died from jumping out the window of the structure and the other (56 y/o male) was found inside the structure. Car 11 requested a 4th alarm for relief purposes. Four firefighter suffered minor injures. The fire was called U/C @ 22:15. The building had a complaint filed against it in October 2010 for an illegal conversion.
