Help Yorktown Heights FD Help A Tornadoe Devastated Town

1 post in this topic

Per Past Chief McGannon:

The Town of Huckleburg, Alabama is one of the towns that were destroyed by the tornadoes. Associate member Anne Anderson wanted to do something, she called and spoke to the Fire Chief of Huckleburg, Chief Steve Hood, when asked if there is something we can do? He requested flashlights with batteries for his residents. With no power and some with no homes; his residents are resorting to making fires to see at night. With conditions the way they are it becoming extremely dangers he has been trying to get them some light/flashlights.

If looking to HELP a brother firefighter and fire dept then let’s make the Westchester Fire departments SHINE. Anne will be collecting them at the Yorktown Highway garage until this Friday May 13, 2011.

The goal is 2,000 flashlight w/batteries

If you need them picked from your fire house please call

Yorktown Heights Engine Co. 914-962-2148

And leave message for Past Chief McGannon
