Mt. Vernon firehouse partially reopens after poor safety review

(04/22/11) MOUNT VERNON - An old Mount Vernon firehouse that was shut down after a private engineer hired by the city deemed the building was unsafe has been partially reopened.

Why did the FDMV move back into, even just partially Station # 4 after it was deemed unsafe??? I would think that they would at least get the repairs done before backing rigs into it again. Was there no more room at Station # 3 or something???

News 12 Westchester did a story on it. Funny part is, just after they said only 1 side is able to be used a black car was seen in the background backing into that side of the bay. I guess the building wasn't necessarily deemed as dangerous yet but "could" be dangerous.

I can't view News 12 anymore, and I'm not paying Cablevision for the "privledge".

Has the leaky roof, mold, and rat problems all been resolved?
