Police Hold Mock School Shooting Drill

GOUVERNEUR - There were no students roaming the halls between classes when simulated gunshots rang out at Gouverneur High School.

But state and local police responded to the call Tuesday with the same urgency as if the active shooter exercise was the real thing. Emergency dispatchers sounded the alarm shortly after noon, informing officers of two shooters inside the high school on East Barney Street.

while in baltimore for the ems expo i took an active shooter class and was very intrestead in doing a drill like this. after all hearing how perpared VTEMS was for their situation sounds like we all need to fallow their lead
