FDNY "crash-tax" plan dropped

Per Wall Street Journal 4/7/11, Mayor Bloomberg has decided to drop his idea of a "FDNY crash tax". It was designed to allow the city to charge motorists involved in MVAs to be billed for FDNY services.The FDNY members were never in favor of the idea, and City Council president Quinn finally got Bloomie to back off.
