For the first time in the San Antonio Fire Department's history, three firefighters have been suspended for traveling at an unsafe speed and not buckling up while racing to a fire on the Northwest Side last year.

Its a shame that they wernt wearing seatbelts. I realize that there is a lot going on when heading out to a fire, but take the time to think. Engineers worked hard to design safe fire apparatus to protect firefighters. These safety advances don't work if you are not wearing the seatbelt!
