I know I am getting older and my eyes are going... in picture # 1 the " fire rescue " appears to have a black boarder, yet the next picture its gold ??? is it the light or me ?

That is how Ghost-Lettering would react, if the black reflective were on a Black vehicle (therefore MAKING it ghost-ed).
