Description Of Incident: Jackknifed tractor trailer carrying gasoline. Crashed into utility pole snapping it at the top of the pole

04:55 - E-137, L-55, Ambulance 58B-1, Utility 86, Chief 2111, 2112 dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer carrying gasoline which had struck a utility pole, with downed power lines, a transformer explosion and a possible fire

Responding units found the tractor trailer jack-knifed into a broken utility pole with downed power lines, no fire

The driver,uninjured,self-extricated himself from the wreckage

Engine Company stretched a precautionary line and stood by

County Haz Mat responded

diesel saddle tanks and gasoline were off loaded by private contractors

the tractor and trailer were towed from the scene by Glens Towing

1230-All Fire Dept units back in service
