Smoke showing on arrival at a 2 story frame, 25X35, walk-out basement w/ attached garage. Moderate smoke from attached garage caused by electrical short circuit in distribution panel located in basement, conditions detiorating rapidly as fire gains headway. Extension to 1st floor den, through floor. Fire impinged floor joists in den with heavy smoke throughout dwelling. Primary and secondary searches negative. Three 1 3/4" lines stretched, two lines in operation, basement and 1st floor. Third line for second floor extension, if necessary (unused/not charged). Additionally, PPV utilized in operations.
