The guy gets an A+++ for quick thinking and execution of his plan.

I can only picture in my mind the pump operators class this guy could teach.. "Heavy wet snow put thru a 13HP snowblower with 32 inch cutting path, with a throwing radius of 20-25 feet will put out a room and contensts fire if the room is approximatley 10x15 feet.........."

Hey you have to do what you have to do. Very heads up, stayed outside and kept it in check. Smart thinking.

Let me see Iowa formula---No NFA formula--No hey wait I got it snow blower formula. I can see the State coming out with a whole new class this.

We like thinking outside the box.

do you think the insurance companies will give a home owner discount for having a snowblower??

just my thought on this subject

That is an awesome story. Great quick thinking by the neighbor.

Maybe we should lay a snowblower up on the hosebed!

Wow, that's a homeowner who doesn't mess around - he had his own 30# extinguisher! I hardly ever see a home with even one of those tiny kitchen ones!

Very neighborly of him, I doubt you would see that around here...

Hmm, big red snowblower,

big red firetruck,

it only needs some red lights and a siren to get to the next hot job. :D

Water on the fire is still water on the fire, no where does it say it cant be in a frozen state when used.

Besides he was doing double duty, he cleared a path for the firemen to enter the home safely.

I'd give him points for thinking outside the box..
