Hi, I'm about to start the FDNY EMS Academy next month. Can somebody tell me something about it? Any insight into what they will be having us do? Or things like that. How many weeks is it?

General answer to your question: You might be the best EMT in thw world, you might even know more then your instructors but remember it is the FDNY EMS Academt so keep your mouth shut. Don't even mention that you are an EMT. Stay low, do not given people a reason to single you out. Nowadays I see alot of new EMTs comeon the job and they want swift acceptance andtreated like a 20 year veteran. Screw that, buy your time like every one elses does.
