$9,000 Grant to Produce Educational DVDs for Fire Safety in High-Rise Buildings

WHITE PLAINS, NY (Jan. 11, 2010) – White Plains has a large population, and it’s estimated that up to 200,000 people a day visit the city for entertainment, shopping and business. Due to the number of high-rises in the area, and the many people who work in them, high-rise fire safety is a top priority for the White Plains Fire Bureau.

I wish them luck. It is definatly needed but I really think the public is too stupid to get the point. They feel the need to leave their apartments on floors above the fire and walk down through the smoke and subject their kids to it. I time after time would tell them to go back into their apartments but they couldn't get it through their skulls. I really believe that it had something to do with 9/11 after those buildings fell the think their's will too.
