Hudson Valley Regional Poison Center to close

A nonprofit center that focused on helping prevent accidental poisoning will close Saturday because of budget cuts after serving the Lower Hudson Valley for 35 years.

The Hudson Valley Regional Poison Center, which was founded at Nyack Hospital in 1975, has been located at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow for the past 15 years.
