Applications for the position of Fire Fighter are now available. The filing deadline is April 22, 2005.

The examination date is August 6, 2005.

Minimum Qualifications -

At time of application, must have graduated from an accredited high school or received G.E.D. from a recognized authority.

By date of written examination (8/6/05), must be at least 18 years of age.

At time of applications, must have CPAT card dated no earlier than 8/6/04 or be registered for the test with the Connecticut Fire Academy by 4/22/05.

Starting Salary is $38,210. Additional benefit and pay information can be obtained through the City of Stamford website at www.cityofstamford.org

But check with the City first.
